PHYSICAL, HEALTH, AND SAFETY EDUCATION
The middle school physical, health, and safety education at Fei Tian emphasizes developing the knowledge, skills, and habits needed to maintain a healthy body, mind, and spirit. Students learn healthy lifestyle habits, responsible management of personal and community resources, as well as lifesaving skills.
Physical education is required for all grade levels and allows students to participate in physical activity and maintain fitness. A daily Falun Dafa exercise routine helps students keep their bodies fit and allows them to better manage stress.
Safety classes include important information on fire safety and prevention, emergency procedures, conservation of natural resources, highway safety and traffic regulations, as well as the dangers of substance abuse.
CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION
This coursework helps students learn general concepts that will aid them in increasing quality of life through the development of essential career and life skills.
LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SKILLS
This coursework helps students develop information literacy skills in order to find relevant information from different sources. Our librarian works with groups of students to teach them effective library and research skills. The librarian also works with teachers to assist in research projects and to suggest appropriate books for reading beyond the classroom.
The arts are our namesake. See the Artistic Curriculum section for details.
