Performance Opportunities

One of the most unique and rewarding aspects of Fei Tian Academy of the Arts is the opportunity it affords students to apply the artistic skills and knowledge they have learned in school.

Students in the dance and music programs have the opportunity to participate in practicum performance tours to further develop their artistic skills and knowledge and prepare them for a career in the performing arts and/or for competitive postsecondary education.

The practicum is a structured learning opportunity wherein students are supervised closely by teachers and staff at the practicum site. Dance students have the chance to take their individual and group dance skills to the next level and hone their overall performance skills and level of artistry. By taking on roles within actual stage performances, they build the stamina necessary to perform professionally and gain a sense for the rigors of a professional dance career. For music students, the practicum is a chance for them to enhance their artistic training, adopt roles within orchestral performances, gain a sense for the rigors of a professional music career, and gain access to professionals in the field. Students on practicum will register for a set of field courses, one credit bearing.
