Performance Opportunities

One of the most unique aspects of Fei Tian Academy of the Arts is the opportunity it affords students to apply the artistic skills they have acquired. Students who are deemed qualified by teachers at the Academy are given the chance to enter international competitions and perform with Shen Yun Performing Arts in top theaters around the world.

NTDTV International Competitions

Students of Fei Tian are encouraged to try out for the following international competitions sponsored by New Tang Dynasty Television: International Classical Chinese Dance Competition, Chinese International Piano Competition, Chinese International Violin Competition, and Chinese International Vocal Competition.

Each competition serves to recognize and celebrate traditional arts originating from or peformed by ethnic Chinese. Students from Fei Tian are given the opportunity to compete with top talent in their artistic areas from around the world, which helps them connect with professionals in their field and exposes them to a wide range of talent from whom they can learn. Additionally, entering the competitions allows students to practice the valuable skill of competitive performance, as each student is required to develop and perform a solo piece.

Shen Yun Performing Arts

Students from the arts and dance programs at Fei Tian who are invited to perform with Shen Yun Performing Arts are given an extraordinary chance to perform with a world-renowned performing arts troupe. Shen Yun Performing Arts is the world’s premier Chinese dance and music company and every year is invited to tour throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Oceania.

Students invited to tour with Shen Yun Performing Arts will perform in the best theaters in the world, including Lincoln Center in New York City, the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., the London Coliseum, and Le Palais de Congres in Paris.

Touring with Shen Yun Performing Arts provides students with the chance to further develop their individual and group dance techniques, build the stamina necessary to perform professionally, and hone their performance skills. Additionally, students experience for themselves how performance art can cleanse society and purify people’s spirits and, in this way, students develop a sense of responsibility towards their profession and the motivation to continually progress in their art.
