Extracurricular Activities

The Fei Tian Academy of the Arts collectively supports the idea that cultural refinement, experiential learning, and self-discipline all enhance our students’ lives, and all of these factors are part of the path to becoming a true artist.

The Fei Tian calendar of monthly events includes musical, theatrical and ballet performances and visits to museums as well as other outings and excursions on weekends. Most events are scheduled as optional, but some are mandatory events scheduled for cultural/educational purposes and all students are required to attend.

All students at the Fei Tian Academy of the Arts are eligible to participate in the Fei Tian performance group. The students will have many opportunities to showcase their performances to the general public.

Fei Tian students shall also have opportunities to be invited by world-class performing arts companies to participate in performances in major cities around the world. Past performances include:

• Divine Performing Arts “Holiday Wonders” shows at the historic Beacon Theatre in New York City
• Divine Performing Arts “Chinese New Year Spectacular” shows in more than 65 cities worldwide performed in world famous venues such as the Royal Festival Hall in London, Kodak Theater in Los Angeles and Radio City Music Hall, and Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Students are also encouraged to participate in a series of competitions hosted by one of Fei Tian's partner organizations, NTDTV. The students who sign up for the competitions--be it the violin, piano, Chinese classical dance, or vocal competitions--always find the experience an invaluable opportunity to take their skills to the next level.
