Academic Resources

At Fei Tian, interactive computer software, multimedia, and Internet resources are used extensively to complement regular classroom teaching. Fei Tian also has a Web-based online learning system with functionalities for virtual classrooms, course management, as well as online discussions, assignments, and quizzes, which facilitates remote learning for students who go on tour.

Computer Laboratory

Fei Tian has a computer lab where students can learn computer graphics design and digital media production. Multimedia software is provided for students to practice their English and Chinese language skills.

Library

The Fei Tian Academy of the Arts has a library facility for use by students, faculty, and staff. The library currently has over 6,000 titles of hard-copy books as well as over 500 CDs/DVDs on Western and Chinese arts, history, language, and other aspects of culture and civilization. The facility also holds reference books on English, history, and the sciences.

Fei Tian houses an impressive collection of arts and dance books from all over the world, some of which are rare and/or out of print. The library is unique in its collection of publications in both Chinese and English. Students may checkout all non-rare materials for a period of one week at a time.

Tutoring and Remedial Program

The Fei Tian Academy seeks to bring each student to the desired academic level as quickly as possible by facilitating individualized tutoring programs in English reading and writing, mathematics and science, social studies, and test preparation. Tutors are either fellow students or volunteer staff members at Fei Tian. Fei Tian provides facilities and designates a block of time for tutoring activities.

The Fei Tian Academy of the Arts also offers remedial instruction by the faculty on academic subjects to students in three cases: (1) Students who are otherwise qualified to be enrolled in Fei Tian except for deficiency in one or two curricular areas will be required to take specified remedial instruction as a condition of enrollment; (2) students who express the need for special assistance in preparing for the Regents examinations may apply for certain remedial instruction; (3) students who need to participate in performance opportunities during a certain period of time may apply to the Assistant Principal for admission into remedial programs.
